| I am on the verge of completing my undergraduate program in Automobile Engineering at IRTT,Erode that is affiliated to the Bharathiar University at Coimbatore in Tamilnadu state. I have, after a very careful consideration of my abilities, academic background and career goals, decided to pursue my graduate education in Automobile Engineering. |

| USA is considered to be the world leader in the field of Automobile Technology. One of the reasons attributed for this status is the location of top automobile manufacturing companies in this country. Then there are Universities, which work, in close association with the industries giving ample scope for the students to get exposed to the latest trends in the industry. Thus, the factors such as better research facilities, an effective Industry-University collaboration, flexible course structure, etc have made U.S the most natural choice for me to pursue my graduate studies. |

| Right from my childhood, I had the opportunity to get exposed to automobiles since my father was working in State Transport Corporation. He used to narrate a lot of incidents, which took place in the workshop. Since I had an inquisitive mind, I used to ponder how various things work and what made them to function. Slowly I developed an interest in automobiles and related subjects. Over the years, Automobile Engineering has become my favorite subject. Since I always had a strong aptitude for Mathematics and Science, I took up Automobile engineering as my field of specialization. |

| In my undergraduate curriculum, I was exposed to a number of subjects in automobile engineering all of which quenched my thirst for more knowledge. I was fortunate to undergo my studies from a very reputed institution. A unique feature of our institution is that Automobile professionals manage the institution. I continued to enjoy my studies due to the experienced faculty, who have experience of over 15 years in the institution and offering the appropriate coaching with high motivation. My In-plant training program in Heavy vehicle Re-conditioning unit in State Transport Corporation gave me ample scope for a clear understanding of theoretical ideas. |

| To excel in the field of our study, we were taught subjects like I.C engines with deep insights into automotive petrol and diesel engines, vehicle design, engine design, automotive electrical and electronics, automotive transmission and automotive pollution control. Added to this, our department has the most modern lab facilities, and has the distinction of being part of state-of-the-art research project funded by state transport corporation. The automotive lab is fully equipped to give the best to students .I gained a very good practical knowledge of working of an automobile, automotive electrical and electronics systems and reconditioning methodologies. |

| I have strong interest in I.C engines and automotive pollution control,which gave way to my final year project “Development of Ethanol-Diesel dual fuel operation in a C.I. engine using Electronic Injection System By Fumigation Techniques is a state transport research project”, through which I became more interested in pollution control in automotive systems.I have also presented papers in National Level Technical Symposium,and have won prizes in Fuel Cell Technology,Total Quality Mangaement (TQM). |

| My immediate goal is to pursue my Master’s program at your esteemed institution. On successful completion, I would like to continue with my Ph.D. Learning what has already been propounded is one thing. Propounding what posterity will learn is something else. For me, long-term goals are easy to portray. Coming from a rapidly developing nation, I feel that I can utilize the skills I acquire during my period of study at your institution to the fullest extent in my home country. Here, there are opportunities galore, but finding the right man for the right job is difficult- very, very difficult. |
